[ When the feed starts streaming video it shows a teenage boy of Chinese(?) descent grinning, sitting in a lounge chair on the deck of the ferry. There's a cold, frosty glass of beer in view on the side table next to him, and the man lounges back in the chair with a relaxed sigh as he adjusts to catch the sun a bit more. ]
Good booze, fine-looking women, and powerful little creatures fit to be perfect minions with lots to collect. Shame they can't hold a conversation that well, but the world after death could be a hell of a lot worse. Don't know what I did to get to this paradise but like hell I'm gonna complain about it!
[ He laughs, almost bellowing with it before he looks into the camera once more. ]
So if I've got this thing workin' right, I wanna ask. Just what do a lot of you do for fun around here? I'm lookin' to keep entertained and take in as much life as I can here, so don't leave anything out!

Everyone lives for themselves here and doesn't have to answer to anyone else specifically. There aren't even any rulers in any sense, just a police force that handles small crime.
Pay well, and I imagine you could fulfill whatever needs you have to amass...whatever it is you want.

[ He holds up the pokéball containing his starter, considering it thoughtfully. Yeah, he needs to actually take a good look at his pokémon first. What kind it is, how it fights, stuff like that. Getting some experience with this world and its ways can't hurt, either... Lots of planning. He hasn't been knew to life in a while, and it's pretty exciting if he's honest with himself. ]

One can find their niche and make their fortune and gain accolades.

[ Except not really, if how he's grinning and relaxing in his chair is any indication. It just means he'll take his time and come when he feels like it. ]
You'll be sure to see me at some point, whether or not I've made my fortune yet. I can't say no to a show where you're one of the performers.
