1st Possession - Riding the Kanto Ferry, Video, Around 12 pm

Gotta say, you humans know how to live in luxury. There definitely weren't any ships like this back where I came from!

[ When the feed starts streaming video it shows a teenage boy of Chinese(?) descent grinning, sitting in a lounge chair on the deck of the ferry. There's a cold, frosty glass of beer in view on the side table next to him, and the man lounges back in the chair with a relaxed sigh as he adjusts to catch the sun a bit more. ]

Good booze, fine-looking women, and powerful little creatures fit to be perfect minions with lots to collect. Shame they can't hold a conversation that well, but the world after death could be a hell of a lot worse. Don't know what I did to get to this paradise but like hell I'm gonna complain about it!

[ He laughs, almost bellowing with it before he looks into the camera once more. ]

So if I've got this thing workin' right, I wanna ask. Just what do a lot of you do for fun around here? I'm lookin' to keep entertained and take in as much life as I can here, so don't leave anything out!

[ If he really is another version of himself, there's no reason to lie. He knows himself well enough to know that he wouldn't if he could help it anyway, it wasn't his style to lie like that. Maybe withhold information, but not lie. ]

[ Hm. That's interesting to say the least, and although he's having a little trouble comprehending it it doesn't seem like he's doubting his other self in the least. ]

So the life you led was different, then. Considering your body, you probably turned out luckier than I did for the most part.

Least the kid's body was royalty. Doubt it counts for shit here.

So we both got shit for not listening to dear old dad. I still think our ambitions are a lot more worth it than the stuff he had planned.

[ That and... He's not exactly unhappy about the way he died the second time. ]

The way I see it, this place is a second chance at doing whatever I please. Is it the same for you?

That's how I see it. I've been here for a long time; I've gotten used to the idea, and I like it, truth be told.

[ Hm. Good to hear that the other Greed's still satisfied with this place, it means it stays interesting with plenty to take so there's plenty for him to look forward to. However, there's something he's not going to just let go. ]

You said something about being the attempt at resurrecting the dead, so it's gotta be human transmutation. Is how we're born different in the other Amestris, too?

I don't know how homunculi are born in your world, but we are born when an alchemist tries to play god and bring the dead back to life.

The result is a malformed creature that must be fed imperfect Philosopher's Stones or perish.

Well that is different.

I was born twice. The first time, pops separated me - the pure essence of his avarice - into a stone which a body grew around. I was the third one he made, after Pride and Lust. Each of us has a Philosopher's Stone as the core of our being, the thing that lets us regenerate and live long lives... If it isn't worn down to nothing, anyway.

Sounds like the way the stones work is different as well.

The stones I'm familiar with have no sentience, no. Supposedly souls still live inside of them, but I've never seen any proof of it.

[ Sigh. ]

Maybe we'll find a new way of gaining immortality during our time here. Then neither of us will have to worry about the stones at all.
